Digital Labs: curators and managers of art residencies
Art residencies create space for dialogue, making people more sensitive to foreign cultures, ideas and cooperation opportunities. We aim to further this in Ukraine, bringing local artists, curators, art managers, and researchers together with their European counterparts. To achieve this, we hold Digital Labs.
Digital Labs unite curators and art managers who want to hold international residencies. You will create an implementation plan for your residency idea or decide how to perfect, or adapt to the times of pandemic, a project you have been working on for some time. To this end, you will study each aspect of art mobility management during lectures with international experts and receive personal advice during consultations with them. The final event of the Digital Lab is the pitching, where you will test your project once again and get the chance to receive EUR 1,00 to carry it out.

This is for carrying out a successful residency
You will find out how to create a concept of a residency and turn it into a regular programme. Idea, organisation, team, cooperation, fundraising, legal aspects, marketing, sustainability: we will handle all of those stages and pay special attention to conceptualisation, working in the regions and online activities.
This is for learning from the experience of experts from Ukraine, the EU and the UK
The experts for this programme are curatorst, art managers, directors of galleries, officers of top cultural institutions from the EU, UK, and Ukraine. They will share the basic theory and elaborate on work cases. You will communicate with the experts directly, so being confident speaking English is a must.
This is for creating an international residency project
Digital Labs are an opportunity to turn an idea for an international residency you cherish into a feasible project. Alternatively, you can find ideas about how to improve your existing residency and work on the plan of action. We are waiting for projects to come to life: the five most promising ones will get funding from us on realisation.
This is for curators and art manager from all over Ukraine
Curators, art managers, artists, owners of art residencies and other professionals in the sphere of culture will all find something interesting. You need at least a year of professional experience, a promising project and the support of a cultural organisation in its realisation.
This is for you!
We are all over Ukraine
