The workshop researches the influence of Soviet doctrine on traditional Ukrainian culture: dance, theatre, and concert. In two days, you will learn about the experience of the creation of modern Ukrainian products and find new formats of work in the context of desovietisation and deimperialisation.

  • Yuliia Pivtorak, art historian, Ukrainian Catholic University professor, and alumna of Kyiv Mohyla Academy and New York University
  • Mariia Kardash, performer, dance anthropologist, and Choreomundus and Vyshegrad fund alumna
  • Viktoriia Yakusha, architect, designer, and multidisciplinary studio Yakusha and live design collection FAINA founder

Apply via online platform. The application will take up to 15 minutes.

  • The workshop is part of Cultural Transformation Lab — a series of practical education and networking events aimed at supporting Ukrainian cultural managers, civil society, and cultural actors residing outside of large cities and regional centres in times of war. The project is held in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
