Digital Labs: newcomers to cultural management

Sector: Culture and creative industries
Type: Digital Labs
Location: Online
Deadline: Finished
Organiser: House of Europe

This is an intensive nine-day Digital Lab for those who dream of gathering famous artists at festivals, holding book fairs, putting together art exhibitions, and advancing Ukrainian culture.

You will learn how to come up with powerful ideas, unite teams and partners around them, and make sure that everything goes according to plan. At the end of the Lab, you will receive a set of practical tools and a step-by-step guideline for the implementation of your cultural project.

The Digital Lab will take place in June. We invite translators to make sure you communicate freely with foreign experts.

What do I get?
  • 10+ hands-on lectures on the routine of a cultural manager: project management, grant writing, funding sourcing, cooperation with foreign partners, promotion, and the specifics of working during the war.
  • 3+ hours of one-to-one sessions with experts. Heads of NGOs and cultural initiatives, curators, org teams of international events, and other cultural experts are there for you.
  • A cultural project implementation plan that you will develop under the mentorship of experienced managers from Ukraine and the EU.
  • The opportunity to receive up to EUR 500 for professional development: a cultural project, workshop, books, or anything else that will help you improve your cultural management skills.
Can I apply?

The Digital Lab will benefit:

  • Cultural project managers with less than two years of experience who want to systematise their knowledge
  • Newcomers who dream of carrying out art projects and want to get the basics of cultural project management
What do I need to apply?
