What do I get?
  • A monthly stipend of EUR 3,000
  • Opportunity to devote three months to work on contemporary key works in the humanities, social sciences, and cultural studies 
  • Comfortable workspace and access to all the institution's facilities
Can I apply?

These scholarships are for Ukrainian translators who want to translate a canonical text or contemporary scientific works:

  • From Eastern to Western European language 
  • Or from Western to Eastern European language 
  • Or between two Eastern European languages
What do I need to apply?
  • CV with a bibliography of translations
  • The name of the work you will translate. Do not forget to add exact number of pages and explanation for choosing this particular text 
  • Contract or a letter of intent from a publisher
  • Proof that you have the right to translate and publish the work
  • Information about the planned publication date

All the documents must be in PDF format. The language of application is English.

How do I apply?

Submit the application via IWM online portal by 23 January. 

You will know the results by May, 2023.

  • Unfortunately, the organisers will not provide applicants individual feedback on their applications.
