How do we promote Ukrainian culture abroad even in times of war — to be discussed on 13-14 July during the workshop by Denys Vasyliev, Mariana Maksymiak, and Serhii Zhukovskyi. We will learn to find ideas to catch partners' attention from various countries, raise funds for our projects, and stay confident during each step of production. The speakers will share their secrets for successful projects and advise on your initiatives.  

We will meet on 13-14 July in Zoom. Please ensure you are available for four hours from 15:00 till 19:00 on Wednesday and Thursday. 

The workshop is part of Cultural Transformation Lab — a series of practical education and networking events aimed at supporting Ukrainian cultural managers, civil society and cultural actors residing outside of large cities and regional centres in times of war. 

The Lab is carried out by Goethe-Institut Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. The programme is funded by the EU under the House of Europe programme.

Who are the speakers?

Denys Vasyliev, “The centre of development of business technologies and culture” civil organisation’s cultural manager. Head of the museum of the history of music instruments “BarabanZA”. Cultural Transformation Lab and EU4Culture’s trainer.

Mariana Maksymiak, cultiral project manager. The programme director of the Agnon literature centre. A former employee of Ukrainian catholic university and Lviv Center for Urban History. Cultural Transformation Lab’s trainer, and mentor of “Building Ukraine Together” and “The memory network” projects. 

Serhii Zhukovskyi, cultural project manager. Head of “The day of music”, co-founder of the civil organisation “Culture and creativity association”. Co-founder of Ukraine-Sweden festival “Tracks” and co-organiser of the international heavy music festival “Metal East”.

The creative head of Ukrainian Institute Tetiana Filevska and co-founder of InterAKT Initiative e.V in Stuttgart Viktoria Vitrenko will also join the workshop.

The workshop will be beneficial for Ukrainian cultural managers who seek to launch international projects in a team with peers from the EU.
