15-19 November hop on a digital study tour to one of the states of Germany — Baden-Württemberg. 

You will meet managers and policymakers carrying out great cultural projects in small cities and with little resources. Find out about the instruments helping them, study the structure and procedures of local cultural institutions, and get personal advice. To make sure you understand everything, we invite translators. 

Another motivation to study — stipend of EUR 200 to spend on anything for your professional development: from courses to books.

Whom can I meet during the online study tour?

You will visit online lectures and workshops with 18 cultural managers from all over Baden-Württemberg:

  • Fabian Mühlthaler, head of Goethe-Institut Ukraine
  • Dr. Patrick S. Föhl — founder of a “Network of cultural counselling” in Berlin, an expert in international cultural development, trainer on cultural management
  • Sara Dahme, founder of Kultur Kiosk in Stuttgart, author of events’ concepts for cultural institutions and museums, couch in the sphere of arts, professor
  • Roman Proskurin, a dancer, choreographer, trainer of the Olympic school, and the founder of the first centre of the urban dance in Germany Keraamika‘s House of Dance
  • Viktoriia Vitrenko, a soprano singer, conductor, and art manager operating in Germany, UK, Norway, the Netherlands, France, Macedonia, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Romania, Switzerland, Ukraine and Russia
  • Jasmin Schädler, a founder of the social initiative InterAKT, theatrical director, performer, and artist
  • Susanna Heim, a representative of the Stattsofa platform introducing actors of culture to the local community and offering the calendar of events
  • Theresa Hierlinger, a Ministry of science, research, and arts officer, responsible for the development of culture in rural areas and the programmes related to COVID-19 support
  • As well as regional cultural managers and heads of cultural departmentsґ

Good to know
  • If you have already participated in the online networking study tour to the Czech Republic or Thuringia, you cannot apply for this open call. 
  • One more virtual tour to Austria is coming. Keep in mind that you can only participate in an online networking trip once, so if you are interested in it, postpone the application. 
  • You can only apply individually. You cannot submit an application in a team with peers.
  • You can only submit one application within one open call. 
  • If unsuccessful, you can apply again for the next call or choose another House of Europe opportunity.
