Active Citizens Camp unites youth leaders from all over Ukraine to meet each other and learn how to interact with people effectively using empathy as the core tool.
The camp has two modules. The first module will help you understand your motivation to be an activist, learn how to have an effective dialogue and plan sustainable social initiatives. Certified Active Citizens facilitators will be here to guide you.
The second module is all about the nonviolent approach to communication: building relationships, having effective dialogues and resolving conflicts. You will have the chance to apply new knowledge at practice and create a social project for your community. If your idea is among the top ten, you will get UAH 10,000 to carry it out in December-January.
Active Citizens Camp will take place between 8-26 November 2021. We will meet on weekdays: the sessions will start at 10.00 and end at 13.00. All sessions are mandatory except for networking meetings held on Wednesdays.
What do I get?
- Self-awareness as a community leader and the skills to carry out successful social projects: the ability to build long-term partnerships, resolve conflicts and effectively interact within the community
- The chance to get UAH 10,000 on your social project with the focus on nonviolent communication
- Inspiring case-studies and communication with the managers of successful creative projects. Previously we have had the lead vocalist of Antytila band Taras Topolia, the founder of the Ukraїner media Bohdan Lohvynenko, the activist of the «Samosad on Podil», social projects managers from the UK, Sweden, Poland, and Lithuania — be sure that this time the speakers will be no less exciting
- Contact with more than 40 youth leaders from all over Ukraine that have the experience of activism and can become your partners in future projects
- An Active Citizens certificate that will make your CV more impressive and divergent

- Actively participate in the social life of your community, university, or organisation
- Have experience in social project delivery

How do I apply?

Good to know
- The camp is held online in the form of online conferences. Please keep your camera and microphone switched on during the sessions.
- We can send an invitation letter to your place of work or study.
- We will announce the results of the open call on 3 November 2021. You will receive the notification email to the address you used to register on the online platform, so do not forget to check the inbox.
