Active Citizens Сamp online: nonviolent approach to reach understanding and partnership

Sector: Youth
Type: Programme
Location: Online
Deadline: Finished
Organiser: House of Europe: The British Council in Ukraine

Active Citizens Camp unites youth leaders from all over Ukraine to meet each other and learn how to interact with people effectively using empathy as the core tool.

The camp has two modules. The first module will help you understand your motivation to be an activist, learn how to have an effective dialogue and plan sustainable social initiatives. Certified Active Citizens facilitators will be here to guide you.

The second module is all about the nonviolent approach to communication: building relationships, having effective dialogues and resolving conflicts. You will have the chance to apply new knowledge at practice and create a social project for your community. If your idea is among the top ten, you will get UAH 10,000 to carry it out in December-January.

Active Citizens Camp will take place between 8-26 November 2021. We will meet on weekdays: the sessions will start at 10.00 and end at 13.00. All sessions are mandatory except for networking meetings held on Wednesdays.

What do I get?
  • Self-awareness as a community leader and the skills to carry out successful social projects: the ability to build long-term partnerships, resolve conflicts and effectively interact within the community
  • The chance to get UAH 10,000 on your social project with the focus on nonviolent communication
