Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies Summer School in Germany
This is an opportunity to spend two weeks in a circle of like-minded people during the Ukrainian Studies Summer School in Frankfurt an der Oder (Germany).
The school invites you to explore the cultural and ethnic diversity of Ukraine through the histories of over 100 national communities and indigenous peoples. During lectures, seminars and workshops, you will discuss identity, rights, the impact of war and European integration, and how different communities shape Ukraine today.
The Summer School is organised by the European University Viadrina within the framework of the Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies programme. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- A two-week summer school at the European University of Viadrina on 7-18 September 2026
- Workshops, film screenings, public events and intensive courses about national communities and indigenous peoples of Ukraine
- EUR 110 for accommodation, EUR 42 per diem and a small grant for round-trip tickets
- Ukrainian language courses
- Networking with like-minded people from around the world
The school is ideal for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students who:
- Live anywhere in the world
- Are interested in Ukraine, its culture, history, and diverse communities
- Are fluent in English
Have you already graduated from university? Apply, but your daily allowance, housing, and transportation will not be covered.
