This is a chance to receive up to EUR 13,000 to share Ukraine's past and present with the world. A podcast about the musical underground of the nineties, a university course on Ukraine's role in European revolutions, a translation of a collection of Crimean Tatar poetry — you will have 10 months to implement a project to help foreigners better understand Ukrainians.

The programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Institute and funded by the International Renaissance Foundation and Mnozhyna Foundation. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
Up to EUR 13,000 (USD 15,000) to spend on discussions, university courses, conferences, research visits, podcasts, video lectures, special projects, translations and publication of books about Ukraine.
Can I apply?
This competition is for foreign universities, cultural and educational institutions, analytical centres, and independent researchers working in culture, analytics, education, or science.
What do I need to apply?
  • Application form completed in English
  • Brief description of the project: elaborate on the topic, goals, audience, and implementation plan — up to 500 words
  • Project budget in a format “Name of the file Budget_[format]_[name of the organisation].xlsx”
  • Charter and registration documents in the format “Charter_[name of the organisation]” and “Registration_[name of the organisation]”
  • Confirmation letter in the format “Letter_of_confirmation_[name of the organisation].pdf”
How do I apply?
By 22 July, complete the online application. Selection results will be announced by the end of August.
Good to know
  • The organisers would prefer projects that cooperate with Ukrainian organisations, which have already secured 30% of the funding.
