MIDPOINT Intensive: workshop for filmmakers

Sector: Culture and creative industries
Type: Programme
Location: Lviv, Ukraine
Deadline: 19 April 2026 at 15:00 Kyiv time
Organiser: Midpoint Institute x Balcony 48 x Ukrainian State Film Agency x House of Europe

Together with the international training and networking institution MIDPOINT Institute, production company Balcony 48, and Ukrainian State Film Agency, we launch the second MIDPOINT Intensive in Ukraine.

In four days in Lviv, you will polish the scenario, working on structure, rhythm, tone, hero arcs, dialogues, and subtext. You will also tailor your financial plan, budget, and development plan to meet the challenges of working under limited state funding in Ukraine. There will be curated group sessions with delicate peer feedback, individual mentoring, and endless networking during coffee breaks.

The intensive is free of charge, while we will also cover your stay and, in part, meals. All you have to take care of is a round-trip ticket.

Join us to build the foundation for your breakthrough and connect with an international network of film professionals.

Where: Lviv Culture Hub, Lviv (Ukraine)

When: 4-9 June 2026

Language: English without translation
