This scholarship is for journalists and independent media working in crises or in the regions most affected by the war. You will have up to eight months to get back on your feet while the organisers provide a monthly stipend.
The competition is managed by the Public Interest Journalism Lab and the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
What do I get?
- For journalists: a stipend of EUR 600 for up to four months.
- For editorial offices: a stipend of EUR 900 for up to eight months.
Can I apply?
These scholarships are for journalists, editorial offices and independent media that:
- Have at least two years of experience in the Ukrainian media market
- Are in a crisis, work or relocated from the regions that were most affected by military actions
- Remain in Ukraine and create important content
What do I need to apply?
- Completed online form. Elaborate on the team, target audience and plans for the following year
- 5-10 links to fresh publications
How do I apply?
By 10 February, complete the online form.
Good to know
- You will receive money in hryvnias.
- Winners must submit short monthly reports to demonstrate their journalism activities.
