This is a chance to earn up to EUR 20,000 for your independent media's work.

Cover operating expenses or consult with experts on how to set up effective processes, establish communications or monetise the project — you will have more than six months to bring your ideas to life.

The competition is managed by the International Fund for the Restoration of Ukrainian Media with financial support from the EU. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
From EUR 5,000 to EUR 20,000 for rent, salaries, accounting services or expert advice on financial stability, operational processes, communications, legal support, strategic or crisis planning.
Can I apply?

These grants are for Ukrainian independent media that:

  • Create high-quality and socially significant content
  • Have a strong team
  • Adhere to journalistic standards and principles of editorial independence
  • Are focused on strategic development, innovation, and institutional change
What do I need to apply?
  • Completed online form: tell about the media, its team, target audience and plans for the next year
  • Budget
  • Copy of the charter, extracts from the Unified State Register and certificates with account details (IBAN)
How do I apply?
Fill out the online form by 20 January. The organisers will announce the 22 winners by 15 February.
Good to know
  • You can review the application questions at the link, but you must complete the online form to participate.
  • Implement the project by August 2026. You will need to provide receipts to prove your expenses.
