Art residency in Tirana and Paris
This is an artistic residency that spans two cities simultaneously. First, you will work on a project in the house of former dictator Enver Hoxha in Tirana. Next, continue your exploration at the Cité internationale des arts in the heart of Paris. The organisers will cover accommodation, round-trip tickets, production and a monthly stipend.
The programme is managed by the Art Explora Foundation with Vila 31 and Cité internationale des arts. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- Monthly stipend: EUR 600 in Tirana and EUR 1,000 in Paris
- Residency at Vila 31 in Tirana and Cité internationale des arts in Paris. You will spend three months in each city
- Production costs: EUR 1,500 in Tirana and EUR 3,000 in Paris
- Coverage of travel expenses
- A chance to attend workshops, public discussions, film screenings and festivals
- Networking with artists from different parts of the world
This residency is for art critics, art curators, visual, performative and digital artists who:
- Have five years of professional experience
- Want to implement an art project on the topic of ecology, humanities, social or technological sciences
- Application form completed in English or French
- CV — up to 2 pages
- Motivation letter — up to 2000 characters
- A description of the project you want to implement during the residency — up to 2 pages, visuals that can accompany
- A description of the activities you conducted with different types of public — up to 1,500 characters
- Portfolio — up to 15 pages

Organisers will support two participants.
- If you are applying as a team with a researcher, you must submit a joint application.
- If you wish to apply for multiple residencies, please complete a separate application for each open call.
- Organisers will consider the quality of the project, its relevance to the theme of the residency, and the importance of this research to the artistic and scientific communities in France.
