Art residency in Paris
This is an opportunity to develop an artistic project exploring current sociological, political, technological, or environmental issues independently or in collaboration with a researcher.
You will live and work in the Cité internationale des arts in the heart of Paris. The organisers will provide a monthly stipend of EUR 1,000, accommodation, round-trip tickets, and production funds. For artists, the residency lasts six months, while for teams of artists and researchers, it lasts three months.
You can choose the dates from March to August 2026 or from September 2026 to February 2027.
The Art Explora Foundation, in partnership with Cité Internationale des Arts, provides the programme. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

This residency is for visual, performing and digital artists, art critics and curators who:
- Have at least five years of professional activity
- Desire to implement the art project independently or in collaboration with a scientist. Your partner has to work in the field of humanities, social sciences, sciences, technological innovation, or ecology
- Application form completed in English or French
- CV — up to 2 pages
- Motivation letter — up to 2,000 characters
- A description of the project you want to implement during the residency — up to 2 pages, visuals that can accompany
- A description of the activities you conducted with different types of public — up to 1,500 characters
- Portfolio — up to 15 pages

The organisers will support 20 participants. Participants of the March residency will be announced in January, while those of the September residency will be announced in May 2026.
- If you are applying as a team with a researcher, you must submit a joint application.
- If you wish to apply for multiple residencies, please complete a separate application for each open call.
- Organisers will consider the quality of the project, its relevance to the theme of the residency, and the importance of this research to the artistic and scientific communities in France.
