This scholarship is for journalists and independent media working in crises or in the regions most affected by the war. You will have up to four months to get back on your feet while the organisers provide a monthly stipend of up to EUR 900.
The competition is managed by the Public Interest Journalism Lab and the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
What do I get?
- For journalists: a scholarship of EUR 600 for three months.
- For editorial offices: a scholarship of EUR 900 for four months.
Can I apply?
These scholarships are for journalists, editorial offices and independent media that:
- Have at least two years of experience in the Ukrainian media market
- Are in a crisis, work or relocated from the regions that were most affected by military actions
- Remain in Ukraine and create important content
What do I need to apply?
- Completed online form. Elaborate on the team, target audience and plans for the following year
- 5-10 links to fresh publications
How do I apply?
By 5 October, complete the online form.
Good to know
- You will receive money in hryvnias.
- Winners must submit short reports each month to prove their journalism activities.
