Virtual partner residencies for musicians
This is a Goethe-Institut virtual residency arranging for international musical collaboration projects. Tandems and larger teams of solo artists and small ensembles can get the development of their collaborative idea funded. Each partner will get EUR 1,200 to work on joint research, compositions, concept and project development, pre-productions, or innovative online projects.
Project implementation anytime from now to 31 December 2021. The duration of the project should be from two to four weeks. You must submit your application at least four weeks before the start of the project.
Residency welcomes tandems and larger teams of solo artists and small ensembles, providing that at least one of the partners is based in Germany. All partners should be professionals with proven experience in their music scene.
Each partner will get a grant of EUR 1,200 to work on the project.
- A detailed project description: idea of the project and its substantive goals, schedule, description of possible communicational activities, information about partners and their role in the project
- List of participants, indicating their current location and function in the project
- Biographies of participating artists
- Links to recent audio recordings or other works by the participating artists
- Letter of intent, confirming the collaboration by the other partners

- Projects of a primarily commercial nature cannot be funded.
- Projects that only involve streaming concerts cannot be funded.
- Interdisciplinary, music-centered formats may also be eligible for funding.
