Malt AIR: residency for visual artists in Denmark
This is an opportunity to learn the Danish visual scene during a residency at Maltfabrikken in Ebeltoft. The organisers will introduce you to artists who interest you and create a workspace for you. You will receive a monthly stipend of EUR 1,000, round-trip tickets, free accommodation, and a comfortable workspace for reflection and creativity.
The programme is managed by the Maltfabrikken in cooperation with the Jutland Art Academy and the Danish Art Workshops and with the support of the Danish Arts Foundation. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- A three-month residency at the Maltfabrikken in Ebeltoft. Choose a convenient time: from 29 August to 26 November, 8 January to 7 April 2026, 11 April to 9 July 2026, 25 August to 23 November 2026, 7 January to 6 April 2027, or 9 April to 7 July 2027
- A monthly stipend of EUR 1,000 to cover daily expenses and production costs
- Free accommodation and return tickets
- Networking and visits to artists' workshops that will interest you
This is a residency for professional visual artists who:
- Participated in professional exhibitions in art museums, exhibition spaces, art biennials, festivals, etc
- Cooperated with professional curators
- Know English well

- CV that includes at least one professional exhibition and contacts of two colleagues who can give you a reference — up to 1 page
- Letter of motivation — up to 1 page
- A portfolio with samples of at least five works — up to 5 pages

The organisers will choose 12 winners. You will know the results within six weeks of the contest deadline.
