Milena Jesenská Fellowship for Journalists

This scholarship is for you if you:

• Have been working in media for more than two years: on television, radio, or in a print or online publication
• Have an outstanding professional portfolio

• Completed application form
• CV including a list of publications
• Project description — up to 550 characters
• Project proposal: objectives, state of the art, methods and work plan in up to 7,500 characters
• Cover letter with information on how your stay at the university will benefit the concrete goals of your research
• Two recommendation letters. At least one should be from an editor, fellow journalist, or publisher

Complete all the documents in English, combine into a single PDF and name in Latin.

By 15 January, apply via IWM's online portal. 

You will find out if you are one of the winners in the spring of 2025.

• In this competition, "cultural" has a broad meaning and covers a wide spectrum of intellectual and artistic spheres.
• This competition is also open to journalists from the EU, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Share the English version of this contest with your friends from these countries.
• Unfortunately, the organisers will not provide applicants individual feedback on their applications.
