Art residency in Tirana and Paris
This is an artistic residency in two cities at once. First, you will work on a project in the house of former dictator Enver Hoxha in Tirana. Next, continue your exploration at the Cité internationale des arts in the heart of Paris. The organisers will cover accommodation, round-trip tickets, production and a monthly stipend.
The programme is managed by the Art Explora Foundation with Vila 31 and Cité internationale des arts. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- Monthly stipend: EUR 600 in Tirana and EUR 1,000 in Paris
- Residency at Vila 31 in Tirana and Cité internationale des arts in Paris. You will spend three months in each city
- Production costs: EUR 1,500 in Tirana and EUR 3,000 in Paris
- Coverage of travel expenses
- A chance to attend workshops, public discussions, film screenings and festivals
- Networking with artists from different parts of the world
This residency is for art critics, art curators, visual, performative and digital artists who:
- Have five years of professional experience
- Want to implement an art project on the topic of ecology, humanities, social or technological sciences
- Application form completed in English or French
- CV — up to 2 pages
- Motivation letter — up to 2000 characters
- A description of the project you want to implement during the residency — up to 2000 characters that visuals can accompany
- A description of the events you plan to hold — up to 1,500 characters
- Portfolio — up to 15 pages

Organisers will support two participants.
- You can choose the residency time yourself. The first option is May-July (Tirana) and September-November (Paris). The second option is September-November (Tirana) and December-February (Paris).
- If you want to apply for several residencies, complete a separate application for each competition.
- The organisers will consider the quality of the project, its relevance to the residency theme, and the research's importance to the Balkans' artistic and scientific community.
