Art residencies in Paris
This is an opportunity to implement an artistic project about current sociological, political, technological or environmental issues independently or with a researcher.
You will live and work in the Cité internationale des arts in the heart of Paris. The organisers will provide a monthly stipend of EUR 1,000, accommodation, round-trip tickets, and production funds. For artists, the residency lasts six months, and for teams of artists and researchers — three months.
You can choose the dates from March to August 2025 or September 2025 to February 2026.
The Art Explora Foundation, in partnership with Cité Internationale des Arts, provides the programme. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

This residency is for visual, performing and digital artists, art critics and curators who:
- Have at least five years of professional activity
- Desire to implement the art project independently or in collaboration with a scientist. Your partner has to work in the field of humanities, social sciences, sciences, technological innovation, or ecology
- Application form completed in English or French
- CV — up to 2 pages
- Motivation letter — up to 2,000 characters
- A description of the project you want to implement during the residency — up to 2,000 characters that visuals can accompany
- A description of the activities you plan to organise — up to 1,500 characters
- Portfolio — up to 15 pages

The organisers will support 20 participants. Participants of the March residency will be announced in January, while those of the September residency will be announced in June.
- If you are applying in a team with a researcher, you need to submit one joint application.
- If you want to apply for several residencies, complete a separate application for each open call.
- Organisers will consider the quality of the project, relevance to the theme of the residency and the importance of this research for the artistic and scientific community in France.
