Invisible University for Ukraine: online courses for Ukrainian students
This is an opportunity for Ukrainian students to complete intensive learning courses at Central European University, an international educational institution among the top five universities in Hungary.
You will learn more about the role of Ukraine in the global context and will be able to implement a special research project about the war or related processes in Ukraine — the university will provide EUR 800 for research.
The programme will last from 23 September to 20 December. The best students will go to the winter school in Budapest. Participation is free.
Central European University implements the programme with Imre Kertész Kolleg Jena, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Ukrainian Catholic University. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- Three elective courses in the humanities and social sciences
- Workshops on research methodology and information on internship and training opportunities
- Individual mentoring from leading European and Ukrainian scientists
- Classes in academic English and writing
- The opportunity to receive a scholarship of EUR 800 for a research project on the war or related processes in Ukraine. The best works will be published on the website of the interdisciplinary web journal Visible Ukraine
- The best students will go to the winter school, which will be held in Budapest in January 2025
This programme is for students who:
- Have a good command of English
- Are currently in Ukraine or abroad
- Have just finished high school, are studying at university or have received a bachelor's, master's or postgraduate degree two years ago (2021/2022)
- Completed application form
- CV
- A motivation letter — up to one page
- If you want to apply for the research scholarship, a brief description of the project — up to 800 words
The documents should be submitted in Ukrainian or English.
By 12 September, submit an online form and send the package of documents to iufu@ceu.edu.
You will find out the results by 23 September.
- One lesson per day awaits you. Classes will be held in the afternoon.
- Each course consists of 12 sessions, equal to four ECTS credits.
