MSCA4Ukraine: postdoctoral fellowships for researchers
This is a fellowship for Ukrainian doctorate scientists who left Ukraine due to a full-scale invasion. You will spend half a year to two years in one of 45 countries worldwide, working on your research at a university, art academy or research centre. Organisers will cover the fellowship, accommodation and money for round-trip tickets.

The MSCA4Ukraine is part of the Horizon Europe programme, which the European Commission funds. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- The opportunity to work on scientific research in the EU, Albania, Armenia, Great Britain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, Canada or New Zealand
- A fellowship of up to EUR 1,000 per month and reimbursement of housing and round-trip travel expenses
- Additional funding if you have special needs or a child you cannot leave at home
- In some cases, it is possible to conduct a third of the study at home
- Conferences, trainings and networking with colleagues from other countries
These fellowships are for Ukrainian scientists who:
- Have Ukrainian citizenship
- Left Ukraine after a full-scale invasion
- Already hold a doctoral degree or enrolled in a doctoral programme at a Ukrainian university after a full-scale invasion
- Agreed on conducting research with a university, art academy, research centre, museum, etc.
- Know well the language used by the foreign partner
- Completed application form: briefly describe your scientific work and elaborate on your education, career, and motivation. The volume is up to 6 pages
- Detailed description of the research project: purpose, methodology, plan, risks and expected impact. The volume is up to 11 pages
- Confirmation from the scientific supervisor
- Letter from the host organisation — up to 2 pages
- Two self-declarations: Eligibility self-disclosure statement and Ethics self-assessment
- PhD diploma or certificate of enrollment
- Passport
- If available, a list of scientific publications

- The organisers will support about 50 participants. You will find out the results of the competition in February 2025.
- There are no restrictions on topics and areas of research.
- You can submit only one application if you have not received an MSCA4Ukraine fellowship.
