Youth4Regions: the programme for young journalists
This is the European Commission programme for journalism students and young journalists. You will visit Brussels to learn more about the EU policy concerning different regions, as well as meet established journalists. The organisators will provide the accreditation to the events and cover travel expenses.

The European Commission welcomes participants:
- Interest in what EU regional policy is doing in their region
- Study journalism or have up to two years of experience in the sphere
- Aged from 18 to 30 years old
- Have Ukrainian citizenship
You must prepare an article (2500 to 6250 words) or a video reportage (2 – 3 minutes) depicting a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund or Cohesion Fund. You can choose one of the following topics:
- Fair Europe: Cohesion policy for a just transition to climate neutrality
- Green Europe: Cohesion policy for intermodal mobility
- Cohesion for Recovery: Overcoming the pandemic together
- Europe close to the citizens: Youth engagement
Specific projects co-financed by the ERDF and CF can be found online on the website.
- The competition results will be announced on 9 August 2021.
- You can only participate in this programme once.
- Contributions are accepted in all of the 24 EU official languages. In the case of video submissions, a written summary in English is required.
- Contributions that have already been published are not accepted.
