EU4Business: grants for small and medium businesses
This is an opportunity to receive up to EUR 40,000 for the development or recovery of your business. Patent developments, testing new products, and developing a marketing strategy to enter the foreign market — the programme will cover most of the costs.
Grants are provided through the EU4Business programme, which is funded by the European Union and the German government. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- Up to EUR 40,000 for export, research, certification, testing, registration, intellectual rights, marketing, etc
- Networking and consultations on export, market analysis, marketing strategy and other issues
- Half of the grant can be spent on equipment
- Almost a quarter of the grant should be spent on mentoring
The grant will be helpful to small and medium businesses that:
- Are more than three years on the market
- Work in the field of creative industries or processing industry
- Are TOV, privately held company or other legal entity
- Work in the territory under the control of the government of Ukraine;
- Have up to 250 people in the team
- Have an annual income of up to 50 million euros

Twelve businesses that will receive grants will be announced on 12 July.
- You cannot apply If you have received grants from GIZ in the last two years.
- The programme will cover 80% of the costs. You will need to pay another 20% yourself.
- Non-profit organisations, farms, state or communal enterprises, and public and private joint-stock companies cannot apply for the competition.
- You cannot apply if your business manufactures arms, military ammunition, dual-use products, petroleum products, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, pharmaceutical products, gambling, agriculture, or the IT sector.
- The organisers will prefer businesses that adhere to circular and green economy principles, clean production, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
