Youth4Regions: programme for students and young journalists
This is an opportunity for journalism students and young journalists. You will visit Brussels to learn more about the EU policy concerning different regions, meet established journalists, and participate in press trips to Member States. The organisers will provide accreditation to the events and cover travel expenses.
The programme is provided by the European Commission. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- 7-day trip to Brussels on 5-11 October.

- A chance to win the 2024 Megalizzi – Niedzielski prize for aspiring journalists.
- The European Commission welcomes participants:
- Interested in EU regional policy.
- Aged from 18 to 30 years old.
- Who have citizenship in Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova or another EU Member State.
- Who study journalism or have up to two years of experience in the sphere.
- Who have not participated in previous editions of the Youth4Regions programme.

- Short article of 2 500 – 6 250 characters, a photo or a video report of 2-3 minutes depicting a project co-financed by the EU or Cohesion Fund. More about the projects you can choose at the link.
By 8 July, submit an application form with all the necessary documents.
The organisers will select 37 winners. The results will be announced on 12 August.
- You can submit only one application.
- Contributions are accepted in all of the 24 EU official languages. In the case of photo or video submissions, a written summary in English is required.
- You cannot apply if you have previously participated in the Youth4Regions programme.
