Art and mental health: the call for works by young artists
This is a call for young artists exploring mental health in their works. You will have a chance to participate in a group art exhibition, organised by the City Arts and the Institute of Mental Health Nottingham. There is no fee for submitting work, and you will have the option to put your art up for sale.
The exhibition is planned for September 2020. Due to the pandemic, the date may change, but the initiative will go ahead.

- Your work can be a part of the exhibition at the Institute of Mental Health Nottingham
- The opportunity to sell your work
A piece of art exploring mental health. It can be about your own experiences or show how young people are affected by mental health issues.
You can submit works in various techniques: paintings, drawings, photography, flat textile artworks, digitally created artworks and mixed media artworks. The work should be 2D, so no sculpture sadly
- The organisers will let you know if your artwork is selected for the exhibition by the week beginning 13 July. You will need to send the artwork to Nottingham by 24th August.
- The organisers can send your artwork back after the exhibition. To organise transportation from Great Britain, please contact kate@city-arts.org.uk.
- If your work is sold during, you will have to send an invoice for the stated sale price.
- The organisers charge 10% of the administrative fee for work that costs more than GBP 50 in case of its sale.
