The Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) is a leading international organisation that annually hosts a forum where more than 2,600 scholars exchange crucial research and experiences. This year, the conference will be held on 21-24 November. This is your chance to join the event.

The scholarship is provided by the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

  • CV.
  • Motivation letter — up to one page.
  • Individual paper or roundtable proposal.
  • Confirmation of application submission to ASEEES.
  • Confirmation from the institution that is not funding your participation.
  • Confirmation from you that there is no double funding.

All documents must be in English and PDF format. For file names of attachments, use Latin characters.

How do I apply?

By 1 May, send the required documents to ukraine@iwm.at in one PDF file. The title of the letter is “ASEEES 2024”.

You will find out the results of the competition at the end of May. Unfortunately, the organisers cannot explain why your application was not selected.
