The Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) is a leading international organisation that annually hosts a forum where more than 2,600 scholars exchange crucial research and experiences. This year, the conference will be held on 21-24 November. This is your chance to join the event.
The scholarship is provided by the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
What do I get?
- EUR 2,000 to cover all expenses related to participation in the conference.
- The opportunity to present your scientific work and exchange experience with more than 2,600 scientists worldwide.
Can I apply?
These scholarships are for scientists who:
- Received the Ukraine in European Dialogue fellowship or the Documenting Ukraine grant.
- Are officially studying or employed at a Ukrainian university or research institution.
- Are currently enrolled or have already held a PhD in the humanities or social sciences.
What do I need to apply?
- CV.
- Motivation letter — up to one page.
- Individual paper or roundtable proposal.
- Confirmation of application submission to ASEEES.
- Confirmation from the institution that is not funding your participation.
- Confirmation from you that there is no double funding.
All documents must be in English and PDF format. For file names of attachments, use Latin characters.
How do I apply?
By 1 May, send the required documents to ukraine@iwm.at in one PDF file. The title of the letter is “ASEEES 2024”.
You will find out the results of the competition at the end of May. Unfortunately, the organisers cannot explain why your application was not selected.
