Gerda Henkel Fellowships for scientists

This scholarship is for Ukrainian scientists who:

• Have the citizenship of Ukraine.
• Have a PhD degree in the field of Humanities or Social Sciences.
• Have international research experience: participation in scientific projects, conferences, publications in peer-reviewed academic journals, etc.
• Know English well.

The organisers will give preference to candidates under the age of 45.

• Application form filled out in English and in doc format. The file name is 'Familyname_ApplicationForm_2024'.
• Relevant photo.
• Description of the research project: purpose, methodology and bibliography — up to 2,200 words.
• Scan copy of PhD certificate.
• Two recommendation letters for scientists who defended their thesis over eight years ago.

By 31 March, send the completed application with all the necessary documents to dimov@cas.bg. The subject of the letter is ‘Gerda Henkel Fellowships’.

This is the first stage. If your application is successful, you will be invited for an online interview in June 2024.

You will find out the results in July 2024.

• The organisers will prefer scientists who have not yet participated in this programme.
• This competition is also open to scholars from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. Unfortunately, the organisers do not exclude the participation of russians.
