Grounding.Invasion. Virtual residency for Ukrainian artists
This is an opportunity for Ukrainian artists to explore the impact of a full-scale invasion on the environment in the industrial regions of Ukraine.
Grounding. Invasion. project consists of public discussions, a virtual residency and an online exhibition. The organisers will provide a fee, curatorial support and production costs.
Funding of the Grounding.Invasion project is carried out by the Stabilization Fund for Culture and Education 2023 by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany and the Goethe-Institut. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.
- A virtual residency and public discussions with experts on ecology and the post-industrial era.
- If you make it to the top four, you will have the chance to implement and present an art project.
- A fee of EUR 1,500.
- Production costs: materials, equipment rental, software, etc.
- Mentoring session with an expert.
- Curatorial support.
This residency is for Ukrainian artists who:
- Are now in Ukraine or abroad.
- Work with any digital or analog media: sound, installation, photography, painting, video, research, etc.
- Are ready to investigate the consequences of the russian invasion on the environment and ecology.
- Know basic English.
- Completed application form.
- CV.
- A portfolio relevant to the theme of the residency.
- A brief description of the project you want to implement during the residency.
- A motivation letter.
Apply via IZOLYATSIA online portal by 29 October.
You will find out the results on 6 November.
