Individual Project Grants in the field of media

Sector: Media
Type: Grant
Location: Ukraine and online
Deadline: Finished
Organiser: House of Europe

This grant offers up to EUR 4,000 on your personal project with the involvement of the EU or the UK.

We will support you in studying at a school of investigative journalism, joining a creative writing workshop, launching a podcast featuring guests from all over Europe, or leading a conference for local media with a headliner from the EU. These are only a few examples of thousands of initiatives that can be your personal project.

Study the application guidelines, apply, and carry out the project you have cherished for a long time.

Learn about the pitfalls and ask your question to the grant manager — join the live stream on Facebook on Friday 6 October, 15.00.

What is a personal project?
  • A project to become a professional challenge for you. Get experience in project management, new skills, and acquaintances.
  • A brand-new project. It is not one of the everyday tasks you work on.
  • A project involving the EU or the UK. Learn from European colleagues, present your ideas, and promote Ukraine abroad.
  • A project that drives you. A course, internship, networking, launch of a new project led and thousands of other initiatives.
What topic can I choose for my project?

You can choose any topic you find fascinating and relevant for Ukraine, but we are most excited about projects that address the following:

  • Countering the influx of false and manipulative information and hybrid war
  • Investigation and documentation of war crimes
  • Journalistic ethics, promotion of good values and best practices
  • Financial sustainability and independence of media
  • Convergence journalism
  • War journalism
  • Culture journalism
  • Economic journalism
