This is an opportunity for visual artists to go on a residency in Belgium to further their writing practice.

For four weeks, you will live and work in Woning Van Wassenhove, a landmark modernist building in a quiet residential area of Sint-Martens-Latem. The organisers will provide you with per diems, production costs and cover round-trip tickets.

Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens manage the residence in cooperation with MORPHO. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?

Can I apply?

This is a residency for visual artists who:

  • Are of full age.
  • Have publishing experience and want to further develop their writing practice.
  • Are ready to present the results of work in the format of a public stream, publication, presentation, etc.
  • Know English well.
What do I need to apply?
  • CV — up to 3 pages.
  • A motivation letter describing the project you plan to work on during the residency — up to 1000 characters.
  • Recent writing samples — up to 5 pages.

All the documents must be in English and PDF format.

How do I apply?

Send all the necessary documents to info@morphovzw.be by 15 September. The subject line is ‘Writing Residency Woning Van Wassenhove’.

You will find out the results in October. Unfortunately, the organisers will not explain why they don't choose your application.
