This is an opportunity to receive EUR 500 for cultural heritage activists and professionals who continue to protect the cultural heritage of Ukraine despite shelling, bombing and active hostilities.

The fellowships are provided by Europa Nostra in partnership with ALIPH, HERI – Heritage Emergency Response Initiative and the Ukrainian Fulbright Circle based in Kyiv. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine. 

This is the second wave of fellowships. The organisers supported 155 defenders of Ukrainian culture in frames of the first wave. Apply yourself or recommend a colleague.

Can I apply?

These are scholarships for Ukrainian activists and cultural professionals who:

  • Work in museums, libraries, archives, and other cultural heritage institutions 
  • Active contribute to the cultural heritage protection in times of war
  • Have no salary or reduced salary due to the ongoing war
  • Live and work in Ukraine

Submit a short application form in Ukrainian. The deadline is 3 May.
