Young Elected Politician is an opportunity for young politicians to join the democratic life of the EU and voice out their views on key events.

Workshops, trainings and plenary sessions from EU representatives are waiting for you, as well as the opportunity to join the alumni network, which includes more than 500 young people from 32 European countries. Apply now to be among them.

The programme is provided by the European Committee of the Regions. This is one of the thousands of the EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • The participation in events with EU representatives in Brussels. The organisers will cover the expenses related to the participation
  • Regular networking sessions, panel discussions, practical online workshops and trainings on democracy, ecology and EU cohesion policy
  • Participation in YEPcommunity.eu, a network of more than 500 active like-minded people who can share experiences and information about other EU projects
Can I apply?

You can apply for the competition if you:

  • Are no older than 40 years old
  • Have the citizenship of Ukraine, EU countries, Moldova, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia or Turkey
  • Have a good command of English
  • Were elected at the regional or local level
  • Do not have the mandate of a member or deputy of the Committee of Regions
How do I apply?

Check the participation requirements and apply via online portal by 10 April. The language of the application is English or French.

You will know the results in May.

Good to know
  • The programme will last until the spring of 2024. You must participate in all programme activities.
  • Organisers will select participants taking into account gender, political and national balance.
