Cooperation grants fund collaborative cultural projects of Ukrainian and European organisations. We support music festivals, book fairs, art exhibitions, theatrical plays, films, and any other ideas. You must prepare and display the project in Ukraine.

The idea behind the grant is to support cultural dialogue between Ukrainian and EU cultural organisations as well as enhances the international visibility of Ukrainian art. 

Can I apply?

We welcome state or public non-profit organisations that: 

  • Work in the field of culture and creative industries
  • Have a proven track of previously implemented cultural projects
  • Are officially registered in Ukraine or the EU
What do I get?
The most prominent ideas will get up to EUR 25,000, or up to EUR 50,000 from us. The amount of the grant depends on the scale of the project. 
What do I need to apply?

The application process constitutes of two parts: 

  • Firstly, you provide a concept note: a brief description of a project, indicative budget and information on the organisations.
  • Secondly, you provide detailed implementation, communication, and budget plans. You should also present supporting documents.

Good to know
  • All organisations involved must be registered legal entities.
  • All organisations involved must be able to demonstrate relevant experience and a proven track of successfully implemented cultural projects. 
  • Either a Ukrainian organisation (with EU or Eastern Partnership country partner organisation) or an EU organisation (with a Ukrainian partner organisation) can apply. The applying organisation is responsible for project implementation and reporting.
  • Organisations from Eastern Partnership countries can be additional partners. The Eastern Partnership countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova. 
  • Your organisation can be funded only once through a House of Europe international cooperation grant.
  • However, your organisation may still apply for other House of Europe opportunities. 
  • If unsuccessful, your organisation can apply in the next call, updating your initial project proposal.
  • Co-funding is not requested, but strongly encouraged.
