This is an opportunity for DAAD graduates to carry out an internship or research in Germany.

The organisers will cover the monthly scholarship, round-trip tickets and insurance. It is up to you to choose and agree on cooperation with the university, research institution or dream company.

The programme lasts from one to three months. You should complete your research stay by January 2024.

What do I get?
  • A monthly scholarship of EUR 2,000 euros for assistant teachers, assistant professors and lecturers, and EUR 2,150 — for professors
  • Travel allowance
  • Health insurance 
  • Networking and participation in DAAD's global alumni network
Can I apply?

This scholarship is for you if you:

  • Got research grants or study scholarships for a period of over six months
  • Have not lived in Germany for at least three years
What do I need to apply?
  • Completed application form
  • CV in tabular form — up to 3 pages 
  • List of academic publications
  • Detailed description of a research project you want to implement  — up to 10 pages. Please indicate how long you wish to receive funding
  • Confirmation from the academic host in Germany that it will provide you with a workplace
  • Copy of a degree certificate

Note that all documents must be in PDF format. Please provide German or English translations for documents submitted in Ukrainian.

Good to know
  • You should find the host institution in Germany yourself. 
  • You can get funding for a programme that lasts between one and three months. The selection committee will determine a funding period individually, taking into account your study plan.
  • You can complete several internships or research programmes at once.
  • In exceptional cases, you can also get a subsidy for additional costs which result from the disability or chronic illness.
