DAAD: study visits to Germany for art and architecture teachers

This is an opportunity for teachers of architecture, music, design, cinema and performing arts to organise a working visit to one of the German universities.

DAAD will provide a monthly scholarship, round trip tickets and insurance. It is up to you to choose a university and agree on cooperation.

The programme lasts from one to three months. You should complete your research stay by January 2024.

What do I get?
  • A monthly scholarship of EUR 2,000 euros for assistant teachers, assistant professors and lecturers, and EUR 2,150 — for professors
  • Travel allowance

Can I apply?

This scholarship supports Ukrainian  teachers and scientists who:

  • Have a scientific degree
  • Officially work at a university or institute of higher education in Ukraine
  • Know the research language
What do I need to apply?
  • Completed application form
  • CV in tabular form — up to 3 pages 
  • Detailed description of a research project you want to implement  — up to 10 pages. Please indicate how long you wish to receive funding
  • Confirmation from the academic host in Germany that it will provide you with a workplace
  • Copy of a degree certificate
  • Language certificate of the research language

Note that all documents must be in PDF format. Please provide German or English translations for documents submitted in Ukrainian.

Good to know
  • You should find the academic host in Germany yourself. Choose a state-funded, state-recognised university, or a non-university research institute, which is being carried out in agreement with a supervisor in Germany. 
  • You can get funding for a programme that lasts between one and three months. The selection committee will determine a funding period individually, taking into account your study plan.
  • You can visit several German universities at once.
  • If you have special needs, please indicate this in your application. Organisers may cover additional costs.
  • You may apply for this programme once within three years.
