This is an opportunity to implement an art project about contemporary issues independently or together with a French researcher.

You will live and work in the heart of Paris. Organisers will provide you with a monthly scholarship of EUR 1,000, accommodation and production costs. The residency lasts from three to six months. 

The programme is provided by the Art Explora Foundation in partnership with Cité internationale des arts. This is one of thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

Can I apply?

This residency is for visual, performing, and digital artists who:

  • Have at least five years of professional activity
  • Desire to implement the art project independently or in collaboration with a scientist. Your partner has to be based in France and work in the field of humanities, social sciences, technological innovation and sustainable development, art criticism, or exhibition curating
What do I need to apply?
  • Application form completed in English or French
  • CV — up to 5 pages
  • Motivation letter — up to 2 pages
  • A description of the project you want to implement during the residency — up to 3,500 symbols that can be accompanied by visuals 
  • Portfolio — up to 30 pages
How do I apply?

Submit application form via online portal till 4 November 2022.  

Organisers will support twenty participants. The winners will be announced in January 2023

Good to know
  • If you are applying in a team with a researcher, you need to submit one joint application.
  • Organisers will take into account the quality of the project, relevance to the theme of the residency and the importance of this research for the artistic and scientific community in France.
