These are grants for civil society organisations whose activities aim at poverty reduction, implementation of fundamental rights and promoting sustainable development globally. You can get up to EUR 80,000 for an education or ecological project .

Co-financing is mandatory. You have to make a financial or in-kind contribution to the project or attract funding from the partners. The projects must be implemented within two years.

The embassy will organize an online Q&A session on 4 August. Details will be announced on Embassy`s facebook page in mid-July.

Grants are provided by the Embassy of Finland in Kyiv. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?

Up to EUR 80,000 for a project related to the following topics: 

  • Enhancing psycho-social wellbeing of teachers and children
  • Enhancing access to safe learning space and quality online learning material
  • Organising children’s clubs with educational elements
  • Implementing education and training programs for health and social work professionals to deal with psycho-social and health trauma of the victims of sexual violence
  • Promoting the safety of the environment
  • Promoting access to safe drinking water
Can I apply?

This is a call for civil society organisations officially registered in Ukraine.

Educational and research institutions, independent media, and cultural organisations are also eligible.

Public state organisations are not eligible for the support, but can be partners of CSOs with their own funding.

What do I need to apply?
  • Application form completed in English. Outline the main project activities, partners, beneficiaries and expected results — up to 5 pages 
  • Budget of a project completed in a form
  • CVs of managers responsible for the project implementation
How do I apply?
Send the package of documents to PYM.KIO@formin.fi with "FLC" and the name of your organisation in the subject line.
Good to know
  • If your project is financed, an independent audit will be required. You can include audit costs in the project budget.
  • The project needs to be in line with the goals and principles of the official development policy of Finland. 
  • Applications will be evaluated in three rounds. The results of the first round will be announced by the end of September 2022. 
  • If your application successfully passes two rounds, the organisers will invite you to the final interview.
