This is a professional retreat for filmmakers that are writing their first feature film.  At the picturesque shore of the Danube, you can focus on a new project, meet colleagues from around the world and get feedback from the other participants and programme alumni. Pustnik will cover the costs of accommodation and meals, as well as transport within Romania. 
 
The residency will take place in September 2022.

Can I apply?
This residency is for you if you: 
  • Are developing the screenplay for your first feature film
  • Have a previous screenwriting credit on a short fiction which has screened at an international film festival from this list
  • Have advanced level of English
What do I need to apply?
  • Completed application form
  • Filmography and short bio
  • Synopsis of your project (up to three pages maximum)
  • Moodboard
  • Writer's intention note: why this project is important to you (one page maximum)
  • Headshot
How do I apply?

Good to know
  • You can apply with only one project. 
  • If you are a writing duo, please apply together.
  • This is a residency for fiction projects only. Hybrid documentary, animation, TV series, web series, experimental, or video art are not eligible. 
  • Travel to Romania is covered by residents.
  • The selection will be announced towards the end of May 2022.
