This course will introduce you to the innovation in children's rehabilitation in ten lectures. 

You will learn about the main strategies of working with young patients and the rehabilitation procedures in the EU in lectures with children physical and occupational therapists from the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland, and Lithuania. After watching the lectures, you will join the live streams with experts to ask questions and clarify key issues. 

For the completion of the course, you will receive a certificate acknowledged by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Three participants of the course with the highest scores for their homework will get handbooks “Physical therapy” and “Occupation therapy” adopted by the top universities in Prague. 

The course starts on 20 January 2020. Lectures have embedded Ukrainian subtitles, while interpreters will translate the live streams.

  • Lecture 1. What to do and not to do in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Lecture 2. Management of spasticity in children
  • Lecture 3. Management of feeding disorders in children
  • Lecture 4. Environmental adaptations, assistive technologies and adaptive devices in pediatric rehabilitation
  • Lecture 5. Cognitive orientation to occupational performance and goal-oriented therapy in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Lecture 6. Theory and practice of motor development in children
  • Lecture 7. Brain plasticity and rehabilitation in children
  • Lecture 8. Brain plasticity and rehabilitation in children
  • Lecture 9. Early diagnostics of cerebral palsy
  • Lecture 10. Evidence-based treatment methods of cerebral palsy in pediatric physiotherapy
  • A live session with lecturers for your questions and clarifications. You will have one hour for each lecture to discuss all the issues.

The online course is designed for children physical therapists and occupational therapists that are eager to advance professionally and adopt the latest healthcare trends.

  • CV. Tell us a bit more about your professional experience, education, internships, as well as scholarships and grants you previously won.
  • Diploma of higher education in the sphere of occupational or physical therapy

Good to know
  • In March, the online course will be available for everyone. However, only the winners of this open call will get the opportunity to consult with experts in live streams and receive a printed certificate offering more points. 
  • You will receive an email with the results of the selection on 15 January 2022. To succeed, make sure to answer the mandatory questions, attach a CV, and submit the application on time.
  • If your application is not selected, apply for the next open call or choose another House of Europe opportunity. 
  • You can only submit one application within one open call.
