It is a programme that supports cooperation between civil society representatives from Ukraine and Germany. Together with partner organisation you can get more than EUR 10,000 on a project in one of these categories:

  • Strengthening pluralism through resilience against unreliable and false information. For example, internships for journalists and bloggers or courses for schools and universities
  • Promoting the discussion of values through establishing the dialogue. For example, exchange programmes or cultural events of various formats
  • Opening up prospects for the future through education and capacity building. For example, scholarships and training in academic, professional, and socio-political spheres
  • Fostering dialogue and understanding between civil societies affected by unresolved territorial conflicts

Grants are provided by The German Federal Foreign Office. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

Can I apply?

This is a programme for collaborations between Ukrainian participants with partners from Germany. The partners should be civil society organisations: youth association, media, cultural or educational institution, foundation (including political ones), or other non-governmental organisations.
 
You can also invite to your team organisations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia. 

What do I need to apply?
  • Partner civil society organisation from the target countries. You can use the Civil Society Cooperation platform to find one.
  • Brief description of the project and information about the organisations that will work on its implementation. If your application is successful, you will need to prepare a more detailed description later.
How do I apply?
Fill in the online form in German or English. 
Good to know
  • Think about how your project goals can be reached in case of further restrictions due to the COVID-19. Pay attention to digital and hybrid formats.
  • Shift the focus from the capital to the regions. The organisers give preference to the projects in small towns and villages.
  • Projects should be implemented in 2022. As an exception, the German Government can fund projects that last longer. This requires convincing justification.
