MEET UP! Ukrainian-German youth encounters

This programme supports encounters of young people from Ukraine and Germany where they collectively work on a project of socially relevant theme. You can get up to EUR 50,000 on encounters in one of the following formats:
- Digital: online only
- Hybrid: teams carry out their projects in their own countries and then discuss the results in the digital space
- Analog: encounters in the countries where the participants come from
The encounters should focus on the culture of remembrance, youth participation, or UN sustainable development goals and finish until the end of 2023. The representative of your team will have the opportunity to undergo an internship in the partner team until the end of 2022.
The programme is carried out by the Foundation EVZ and the German Federal Foreign Office.

What do I get?
- From EUR 15,000 to 50,000 to cover digital instruments, travel expenses, honoraria, costs for summarising and documenting the results
- Up to EUR 3,000 to cover travel, accommodation, catering, and maintenance costs during the job shadowing at your partner organisation
Can I apply?
Applications can be submitted by Ukrainian institutions and associations which have:
- Legal capacity involved in in-school and extracurricular education (e.g. youth education facilities, youth centers, schools, universities, memorial sites, historic places of learning, museums, clubs, cultural institutions, and other civic stakeholders)
- Partner organisation in Germany
What do I need to apply?
- Application form completed. Describe the central theme, formats and outcome of your project, the ways in which you will recruit and select the participants
- Separate cost and financing plan for both 2022 and 2023. You can download templates on the website
- Copy of the by-laws of all project partners
- Copy of the non-profit status certificate of all project partners
- If applicable, letters of support from the other donors
How do I apply?
Please, check the conditions for participants, prepare the documents and e-mail to meetup@stiftung-evz.de.
Good to know
- Organisations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, and Moldova also can be project partners.
- Projects that have already begun can not be funded.
- A combination of different formats in one project is possible.
- If your encounter is unable to take place for travel restriction reasons, you have to reschedule the encounter or reassign it as a digital or hybrid encounter.
- You can apply to EVZ Young on Facebook and Instagram for assistance in finding a partner organisation.
