This is a contest for participatory art projects that have a profound impact on their communities. Dance lessons, orchestras, theatricals plays, circus schools — organisers are looking for any projects that help their participants to interact and develop themselves in creativity. Initiatives focused on young people, older people, and those with different cultural or migrant backgrounds are especially welcomed.
 
Five finalists will be invited to the award ceremony in Milan in October 2021. The winner will get EUR 1,000.
 
Amateo Award is co-funded by Creative Europe. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukrainians.

Can I apply?
This is a contest for art projects matching the following criteria:
  • Involve amateurs
  • Any paid staff involved are neither the main nor the sole decision makers, either creatively or organisationally.
  • Started in 2020 and already ended or is ongoing
What do I need to apply?
  • Application form completed.
  • Good quality images or video of your project. 
How do I apply?
Complete application form online, provide links to images and video or email them to award@amateo.org naming the file name the same as your project.
