This is a contest of piano compositions, written for children and young adults. Organisators are looking for the pieces although limited in their technical difficulty, remain uncompromising in their artistic aim. The winner will get the award of EUR 6,000.  
 
The contest is carried out by the Ludwig van Beethoven Department of Piano of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • EUR 6,000 for the first place
  • EUR 4,000 for the second place
  • EUR 3,000 for the third place
Can I apply?
The competition is open to all composers born after 3 September 1981.
What do I need to apply?
The composition for one piano that is:
  • Contemporary and innovative
  • Appropriate in difficulty for children/ young adults and suitable for pedagogical use
  • Performed solo or by more than one pianist
  • Of length from 6 to 15 minutes
  • Not older than two years and not have been performed privately or publicly, copied, distributed, broadcasted, or made accessible on the internet 

Instructions for performance must be written in German or English.

How do I apply?
Please, register on the platform and submit your composition in a PDF file. 
 
Your composition will be evaluated by the jury anonymously. Therefore please make sure that the file does not contain any personal data or metadata.
