This is a programme for tech startups that create innovative digital solutions for the media. You can get up to EUR 150,000 for the project related to the creation and distribution of content, archiving, fighting disinformation, artificial intelligence, or another groundbreaking idea to help European media cope with today's challenges. 
 
The programme will start in June 2021. It is broken down into four phases: 

  • Match. Іdentifying  corporate partner you team will work with — two months
  • Developing — six months
  • Technical integration and testing — two months
  • Executing public pilot in real-life environment — four months

Each phase comprises a set of activities that qualify for financial support. All financing will be based on concrete results and the meeting of KPIs set. Well-known hubs VRT (Belgium), Media City Bergen (Norway), Storytek (Estonia), Next Media Accelerator (Germany) will be involved in the programme. 
 
STADIEM is funded by Horizon 2020. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • Up to EUR 150,000 for the development, testing and piloting of your project. 
  • Access to coaching, mentoring, technology validation and assessment.
  • Incubation and acceleration opportunities to innovators across four hubs in Europe — Brussels, Bergen, Tallinn, Hamburg.
  • Access to the STADIEM network which includes programme alumni, international media community and investors. 
Can I apply?
This open call is for startups and scaleups that fit the following criteria: 
  • Are legally established in Ukraine or other eligible country 
  • Meet the criteria of a small or medium enterprise.
  • Operational for at least one year with proven founding documents
  • Cash runway or self-funded for at least six months to a year to prove the startup can finish the programme, or a letter of comfort from their investors
  • B2B (Business-to-Business) 80%. B2C applicants needs B2B partnerships
  • Proven initial product/market fit — at least one corporate client or letter of intention from client
  • Piloting capable product — live or in late stages of publicly available beta
  • Has received an investment or is self-financed (minimum: late-seed or Pre-Series A or very well-known acceleration/incubation/CVC programme)

  • Application form completed. Describe your product, business model, growth strategy, team, and investors. 
  • Company Figures template completed. 
  • Reference from the investor, accelerator or incubator.
