This is an opportunity to present your project to investors and jury at the biggest event dedicated uniquely to television series in Europe. The organisers will help to prepare the pitch and introduce you to the broadcasters, distributors, producers, public and private funds. The best project will get the prize of EUR 50,000. 
 
The Forum will be held from 30 August to 1 September 2021 offline and online. 
 
Series Mania is co-financed by Creative Europe. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • Opportunity to present your project to the key industry decision-makers from some of the leading production companies and broadcasters in the world
  • Chance to win the main award of EUR 50,000 for the development of your project
  • EUR 1,000 for creating a short video presentation of your series
  • Two online coaching sessions to help you to prepare your presentation
  • Accommodation costs in Lille for three nights for one team representative
  • Accreditations of two representatives and early bird rates to two other team members
Can I apply?
This open call is only for companies (production, distribution, TV channels, etc). To apply you need a project: 
  • New. Adaptations or second season of existing series will not be considered
  • Fictional. Documentaries or animations will not be considered.
  • Which includes at least three episode lasting minimum 26 minutes each
  • Which is not selected for another market or festival
What do I need to apply?
  • A five-page mini-bible including any information useful to get a presentation of the project (series synopsis, characters’ arcs, author statement, etc.)

And if available: 

  • A few photos, moodboard, visuals, illustrations of the project 
  • Pilot or episode scripts 
  • A provisional production timetable 
  • A financing plan
  • Official letter of interest or development contract from Ukrainian TV-channel or an international distributor
     
How do I apply?
Register on the online-platform and fill in the application in English or French. 
Good to know
  • You can check the contest rules and regulations on the website. 
  • Companies can submit as many projects as they wish. 
  • Travel costs must be covered by applicants. 
  • You will be informed about the results of the contest in June 2021.
