This is a residency for sciart artists or curators who research the biodiversity crisis and plant resistance. 
 
During two weeks in Paris, you will work on research, meet colleagues and visit institutions working in the same sphere, without any production obligations. The results you will present at Ars Electronica Festival 2022 in Linz. 
 
The residency is a part of Roots & Seeds XXI project which promotes better care of the environment through the use of art and science approaches and practices. 
Four European organisations are responsible for the project. This is one of the thousands of EU opportunities for Ukraine.

What do I get?
  • Grant of EUR 1,000
  • EUR 400 for total daily subsistence
  • Accommodation in the Malina’s House
  • Travel costs covered
  • Presentation at Ars Electronica Festival 2022 in Linz 
  • Participation in some of Roots & Seeds XXI’s international training and exchange of knowledge events in Paris, Barcelona, and Linz
Can I apply?
This open call is for sciart artists or curators, whose research is developed in direct collaboration with scientific professionals and institutions. 
What do I need to apply?
Completed application form  that includes your:
  • Artist or curator statement
  • CV
  • Photos, videos or other materials relating to a minimum of three and maximum of five previous works
  • Short description of research 
  • Motivation letter
  • List of people or institutions you would be interested to meet with during your residency
