This is the residency where you will create work for a site-specific art festival in Sikinos, a picturesque island in the southern part of Aegean sea. Organisators are seeking for the projects that use 3D mapping, multimedia or interactive installation, performance, virtual reality and can complement the ancient buildings on the island.
Theme of the festival “Living Environments” reflects on the cultural essence and the collective memory of a place, in search of a modern social landscape where the boundaries of art, nature, and life are intertwined and fuel each other.
The festival will take place at the end of August 2021, and the residency — in June. The costs for travel, accommodation and materials will be covered. If you are unable to come to Greece, the curators will set up the work themselves according to your instructions.
