Deutsche Welle traineeship
This is a traineeship programme for creative minds who reflect language and cultural diversity and who have something to say. Candidates should have journalism experience or be passionate about switching to journalism from law, economics, the sciences or technology/IT. During 18 months you will gain hands-on experience in TV, online and radio, explore journalism trends of the future, and develop your own innovative content. The programme will cover your salary and expenses for travel to the foreign bureaus.
This is one of the most prestigious journalism traineeship programme in Europe. Deutsche Welle is an international broadcaster producing multimedia in-depth content in 30 languages worldwide.

- Be a native speaker of one of 30 DW's languages with excellent English and good German language skills
- Complete university/college degree or apprenticeship (especially with a background in technology/IT, science, politics, economics or law)
- Have an initial journalistic experience and social media expertise
- Have a creative mind
- Be able to work under deadlines and as part of a team
