Active Citizens Сamp online: Effective communications in the community – how to be heard

Sector: Youth
Type: Programme
Location: Online
Deadline: Finished
Organiser: House of Europe: The British Council in Ukraine

Active Citizens Camp is a platform for youth leaders from all over Ukraine. During the three weeks spent in the camp, you will meet other activists, gain the motivation and instruments to build effective communications in your community.

The camp has two modules. The first module will help you understand your motivation to be an activist, learn how to have a dialogue and plan sustainable social initiatives. Certified Active Citizens facilitators will be here to guide you through this journey.

The second module is all about effective communications. You will discover how to draft a communication strategy: define target audiences, choose communication channels and outline the KPIs. All of these you will practice while participating in an engaging simulation game.

Grow and develop skills in a company of fellow activists — join the Active Citizens Camp online.

What do I get?
  • Better self-awareness, new skills and instruments. You will learn how to use dialogue as a tool for empathy, plan sustainable social initiatives, communicate them and be heard
  • Inspiring case-studies and life hacks on how to communicate with the community from opinion leaders. Previously we have had the host of the «#@)₴?$0 with Michael Shchur», the activist of the «Samosad na Podoli», representatives of Active Citizens from the UK and the EU — be sure that this time the speakers will be no less exciting
  • Contact with more than 40 youth leaders from all over Ukraine that have the experience of activism and successful civil projects in their portfolios
  • Participation in an engaging simulation game and assignments to tackle on your own to solidify knowledge, come to know other participants better while working in a group and practice what you have learned recently
  • An Active Citizens certificate that will make your CV more impressive and divergent
  • Double the communication and exclusive opportunities, as you will be a member of the alumni communities of both the House of Europe and Active Citizens programmes
